The built-in reader makes it simpler for one person to measure and weigh animals. You can also enter tag details and notes using the alphanumeric keyboard.

With instructions available right on the device, you’ll always have help at hand no matter where you are with your TWR-1.

The TWR‑1 is a touch-screen weighing scale that includes a built-in EID reader, allowing a single user to scan tags (using an external antenna panel) and record weights simultaneously. The package contains the TWR‑1 indicator, a carry bag, mounting bracket with hardware, mains/charging cable, USB cable/drive, and APS/software components.

How does the integrated EID reading work on a Gallagher TWR‑1 do I still need an antenna?

Yes. The indicator includes a built-in EID reader, but you connect an external EID antenna panel installed in your race or crush. When animals move past the panel, the TWR‑1 automatically scans their EID and associates it with the weight you capture, enabling genuine one-person weighing and identification.

What can I record with a Gallagher TWR‑1 and how can I sort/draft animals?

TWR‑1 lets you record and analyse weight and weight gain and sort/draft into up to 9 groups (e.g., by weight or gain). You can also use the on‑screen alphanumeric keyboard to add tag details/notes during the session.

How does a Gallagher TWR‑1 connect to my system (app, load bars, peripherals)?

Wi-Fi syncs your data with Gallagher’s Animal Performance web and mobile app, making your records accessible on your phone, PC, and other Gallagher devices.
