Do your animals have electronic ear tags?
An electronic ear tag (EID) contains a microchip that stores a unique animal ID. Most cattle in the UK carry a standard yellow visual tag. If there is a button style chip tag or a tag with a visible microchip, your animals are EID tagged.

For farms where animals do not have electronic ear tags. A weighing only setup lets you track individual and group weights, measure daily liveweight gain and make more confident decisions at the crush without needing to manage electronic tag data. You need two components: a weigh indicator and a set of loadbars.
What you need: Choose one weigh indicator and one set of loadbars. The indicator reads the signal from the loadbars and displays the weight. Match the bar length to your platform width and choose a capacity above your heaviest animal.

For farms where animals have electronic ear tags and you need to collect, record and analyse individual animal data. A handheld EID smartreader scans each animal's tag as you work through them. Data syncs to your smartphone via Bluetooth and stores in the Gallagher Animal Performance app.
