Hotline Permanent staple insulators suitable for Polywire and galvanised wire up to 4mm - includes staples.

The main function of the insulator is to firmly maintain the fence line while preventing any power from leaking from the post to the ground. A properly designed insulator will keep the line in place without causing damage to the tape, rope, or wire when subjected to wind and weather, and it will also allow the line to move freely without the hindrance of sharp edges.

It’s a staple‑on insulator so simply hammer it into wooden posts, they come with staples included for fixing.

Is a Hotline Staple insulator suitable for tape or rope? What should I use instead?

No, this model is for wire/polywire only. For tape, use a Hotline nail‑on tape insulator (up to 40mm tape). For rope, use a screw‑in ring insulator (e.g., paddock ring insulator for rope/wire up to 7mm).

When would I choose a staple insulator vs. other types?

Choose staple insulators for permanent straight runs on wooden posts using wire/polywire up to 4mm.

Use a tube insulator when you want continuous protection along a surface (wire/polywire up to 3mm).

Pick a large bobbin insulator if you’re running thicker polywire (up to 4mm) and prefer a bobbin form factor.
