When is it better to pick a Hotline tube insulator instead of other types?
Tube insulators work great on permanent fences and wooden posts, especially if plants might touch the wire or you want a smooth, continuous insulating cover to cut down on wear and stop electricity from leaking to the ground. They keep the wire firmly in place while preventing power loss from the post to the earth.
How are Hotline Tube Insulators supplied and how do you fit them?
You can buy it as a pack of 100 short sections which includes the staples. Installation is simple: staple it onto wooden posts to keep the live line insulated from the timber and prevent power leakage.
Which types and sizes of lines can the hotline tube insulator be used with?
It is intended for polywire and galvanised wire with a diameter of up to 3mm. It should not be used with electro-rope or electro-tape, so only use it with wire or polywire—not with rope or tape lines.
