Paddock Essentials Range ring insulator featuring a 200mm offset. It can be firmly attached to any wooden post. It is appropriate for Polywire, galvanised wire, and rope up to 7mm in diameter. Additionally, it works with an insulator speed chuck.

The main function of the insulator is to firmly maintain the fence line while preventing any power from leaking from the post to the ground. A properly designed insulator will keep the line in place without causing damage to the tape, rope, or wire when subjected to wind and weather, and it will also allow the line to move freely without the hindrance of sharp edges.

It’s designed for polywire/galvanised wire and electro‑rope up to 7mm diameter (paddock‑essentials range). It’s not intended for wide tape, use a tape‑specific off‑set insulator instead such as E47P37.

Why choose a 200mm stand‑off insulator and where is it useful?

The 200mm offset keeps the live wire at a safe distance from the post, providing additional space from hedges, walls, and current stock fencing. This helps minimize chewing and rubbing, and decreases the chance of arcing when installing on timber or mesh fences. It can also be placed as a tactical “scare” wire to discourage predators and pests.

How do I install a Hotline Paddock Screw-in 200mm off set Ring Insulator and what tools do I need?

It screws into wooden posts and is compatible with an insulator speed chuck to speed up installation.

What if I’m running tape or I need a shorter off‑set?

For tape fencing, like horse paddocks, select a Hotline tape off-set such as the E47P45SL, which can accommodate tape up to 40mm wide (and rope up to 7mm) with a 150mm stand-off and features a quick over-lock system. If you require only a 150–180mm ring-style stand-off and narrower tape (up to 20mm), the E47P37SL model is available.
