A screw-in ring insulator featuring a tape fitting that can be tightly secured to any wooden post. It has an offset of 180mm. This insulator is appropriate for Polywire, galvanised wire, and rope up to 7mm, as well as tape up to 20mm. It is also compatible with an insulator speed chuck.
The main function of the insulator is to firmly maintain the fence line while preventing any power from leaking from the post to the ground. A properly designed insulator will keep the line in place without causing damage to the tape, rope, or wire when subjected to wind and weather, and it will also allow the line to move freely without the hindrance of sharp edges.

What does it fit (line types & sizes), and what’s the stand‑off length?
It's made for polywire or galvanised wire and rope up to 7mm, plus tape up to 20mm. Once installed, the stand-off keeps the live line about 150 mm away from the post.
When would I choose this Hotline Screw in off‑set insulator instead of a standard one?
Off-sets help keep the conductor away from posts, hedges, stone walls, or existing stock fencing, which minimizes rubbing or chewing and lowers the chance of arcing. They are also useful for deterring pests or predators by positioning a "scare" wire in the most effective spot. If you need to use wider tape (up to 40mm) or prefer a quick-lock/over-lock catch, consider using Hotline’s E47P45SL tape off-set instead; it features a 150mm off-set and can accommodate tape up to 40mm wide.
