The kit is a complete entry-level weighing setup and includes a W‑0 Weigh Scale indicator and two wired 2500kg Load Bars (Each 1000mm long) for use under a weighing platform.

W-0 Weigh Scale: 

Track the weights of your livestock to better understand their performance. The W-0 Weigh Scale offers a straightforward installation, user-friendly design, and Bluetooth connectivity to the Gallagher Animal Performance mobile app, making it an excellent choice for farmers beginning to monitor their animals' weights.

You can send livestock weight data directly from the W-0 Weigh Scale to your Animal Performance mobile app in real time. Additionally, by using a Gallagher Handheld EID reader*, you can scan animal ID numbers directly into the app, associating them with weight data to monitor an individual animal’s performance throughout its life.

*Animal Performance Plus subscription required for EID scanning

2500kg Loadbars - 1000mm:

Constructed from fully galvanised, corrosion-resistant steel, these load bars feature protected, fully waterproof load cells with no moving parts, guaranteeing precise weight measurements year after year. The 2500kg Load Bars are engineered to securely fit most livestock platforms and are also compatible with sheep crates. Equipped with load bar cables covered in stainless steel springs to shield against impact and rodent chewing, these load bars are built to endure over time.

What is the Quickweigh Kit 1000/W0 designed to weigh (and where should it be installed)?

This system is intended for platform weighing, where 1000mm load bars are placed beneath a weighing platform and linked to the W‑0 indicator. The load bars can be used with sheep crates, depending on how your platform is arranged.

Can I record weights to my phone and does the Gallagher W‑0 connect to an app?

Yes. The W‑0 is a straightforward device that utilizes Bluetooth to transmit weight data directly to the Gallagher Animal Performance mobile app instantly. One of the key advantages of the 1000/W0 kit is the ability to weigh quickly and maintain digital records effortlessly, without requiring a more sophisticated scale head.

Can I add EID later to link animal ID to weight—and is anything extra required?

You can add a Gallagher handheld EID reader to scan animal IDs into the app and link them to weights, creating an individual weight history.
However the EID scanning in Animal Performance requires an Animal Performance Plus subscription (so that’s an extra requirement beyond the kit itself).

How long does the W‑0 battery last?

The Gallagher W-0 has an estimated battery run time of ~27 hours.
