What capacity does the Gallagher Econo Reel have, and which conductors fit?

The Econo Reel holds up to 500m of polywire (Gallagher “Vidoflex”), 200m of tape, or 200m of cord/rope. Although if you are using a thick rope it will be less than 200m.

Is this a geared reel? What does that mean for speed of winding?

No, this is the Econo/Economy reel, featuring a 1:1 gear ratio (meaning it is non-geared). It is intended for portable fences that are shorter or moved less often, while Gallagher’s geared reels (3:1) offer faster winding but belong to a separate product range.

Does the Gallagher Econo reel arrive pre‑wound with wire, or is it empty?
