What exactly is the Vencomat, and what does it do?
The Vencomat is a specially designed nest mat utilized in Vencomatic laying nests. It offers a soft and comfortable surface for hens to lay their eggs on, while also limiting the eggs' exposure to dirt and dust. This design helps keep the eggs clean and of high quality, lowering the chances of contamination and enhancing hatchability for breeder eggs.
How does the Vencomat improve egg quality?
Minimal egg contact: Tiny pins on the mat decrease the contact area with the egg, minimizing dirt sticking
Roll-away design: Eggs softly roll onto the egg belt right after being laid, stopping hens from sitting on them and decreasing the chance of cracks
Hygienic environment: Along with tipping floors, the nest remains clean and dry, guaranteeing top-quality eggs
What maintenance does the Vencomat require?
Routine cleaning: Examine mats after each group for accumulated dirt and signs of wear
