The tape's unique mixed metal composition (6 stainless steel and light metal wires) provides good conductivity. The tape is reinforced with a black side wire, to provide extra strength.

Gallagher Powerline 20mm tape is intended for medium-length fences, usually up to 50m when used with a properly powered energiser. Its width offers a good balance between visibility and low resistance, making it ideal for paddocks, strip-grazing, and field division.

How many stainless‑steel conductors does the tape contain?

Powerline 20mm tape normally contains 5 stainless‑steel conductors and 1 tinned copper wire, giving it better conductivity than budget tapes and making it more reliable for multi‑paddock layouts.
