Does the MB series 12V Battery Backup come with a battery and does it keep the battery charged?
The system is intended to be used with an external 12V battery (commonly a 12V deep‑cycle battery), rather than being an all‑in‑one energiser with a built‑in battery.
Your battery is trickle charged when mains is available, so it’s ready when power cuts occur, power status is indicated with LEDs.
How is the MB series 12V Battery Backup installed and how does it connect?
It’s designed to be easy to install. The unit is connected between the mains power supply and the energiser, and also connected to an external 12V battery so it can switch automatically during a mains failure.
Which energisers is the MB series 12V Battery Backup compatible with?
It’s compatible with Gallagher MBSi Series and MB/MBS energisers, including MBi Series models.
What does the MB series 12V Battery Backup system do?
It provides an automatic 12V battery supply to your energiser when mains power fails, helping keep the fence powered during an outage. Providing ultimate security where fence power is critical e.g., high‑risk sites such as Zoo's.
