Lubing Midline Slope Regulator

Lubing Midline Slope Regulator

£63.00
Minimum Order Quantity:
Maximum quantity allowed is .
The product can be bought in quantity increments of .

The adjustable slope regulator compensates for variable height differences of 10 to 45cm in a poultry house.

The valve of the slope regulator will remain open until the pressure in the drinking line has reached the predetermined level. Once this level is reached, the valves close automatically and keeps the water column consistently and safely at the desired level.

  • Drinking lines can still be flushed
  • The slope regulator can be retrofitted in existing systems without much effort
  • The valve of the slope regulator remains open until the pressure in the drinking line has reached the predetermined level. If this level is reached the valve closes automatically and keeps the water column consistently and safely at the desired level
  • The adjustable slope regulator compensates a variable height difference of 10 - 45cm
  • Supplied with 450mm Breather tubes as standard

Lubing Midline Slope Regulator FAQs

What does a slope regulator actually do?

A slope regulator is fitted in a drinking line to compensate for differences in line height (slope) so that water pressure and column height remain consistent along the line. For the LUBING model: it “compensates a
variable height difference of 10-45 cm”. As a rule of thumb a slope regulator should be installed for every 20-25cm of slope.

It works by the valve remaining open until the pressure in the drinking line reaches the predetermined level; once that is reached the valve closes and keeps the water column consistently and safely at that level.

What are the key benefits of using one?

✅ Improved uniformity of water delivery: Because the regulator compensates for height/slope differences, birds along the entire line get a more consistent water supply—not too much pressure downhill, not too little
uphill.

✅ Avoids wet litter / drainage issues: When water pressure becomes too high at downhill parts of a line (because of slope), you can get excess discharge, wet litter, ammonia build-up and disease risk. Using a slope
regulator avoids that.

✅ Retrofittable / flexible: Many systems (like the LUBING version) allow you to install the regulator into an existing system without major re-engineering.

✅ Stable water column / pressure control: Maintaining a stable water column height means more predictable drinker performance and less stress on the birds.

✅ Reduced maintenance of pressure fluctuations: As slope regulators sense the height/pressure difference they help stabilise the system automatically rather than requiring frequent manual adjustment.

When is it particularly useful?

In poultry houses where the drinking line is not perfectly level.

When you want to avoid issues caused by gravitational pressure build-up (where lower parts of the line get higher pressure because of being lower than the regulator).

When you want to maintain consistent drinking behaviour and avoid side effects of uneven flow (wet litter, ammonia etc).

Also useful when retrofitting existing systems where the slope cannot be easily changed or corrected.

Are there limitations or things to watch out for?

Although a slope regulator helps, you still need to ensure the main regulator/pressure system is correctly set and the installation follows the manufacturer’s guidance (e.g., making sure the regulator is at appropriate end of line or height). Mis-placing the device reduces its effectiveness.

You must still maintain the system (cleaning, flushing, checking valves) – the slope regulator is a tool, not a substitute for good hygiene and maintenance.

How does using one improve farm productivity or bird health?

By ensuring consistent water supply and avoiding excess water in litter, you reduce risks of wet litter, which in turn reduces ammonia levels, less footpad/hock lesions, better bird welfare and potentially better growth.

Better uniformity means birds don’t have to compete for optimal water flow or suffer from low flow at certain parts of the line – which means more consistent drinking behaviour, better growth, and less variation in flock performance.

Less maintenance or fewer interventions needed due to ill-behaviour of water lines means less downtime and less labour cost associated with fixing issues (so productivity is improved).

The overall system becomes more reliable, which means you can focus more on other production tasks rather than troubleshooting water supply issues.
