Jet Ø 0.52mm for Gasolec M5 20-310mBar Propane FAQs

Can I clean or “drill out” a Gasolec jet to fix it?

Best practice is replace rather than modify. These jets are precision sized and Gasolec treat jet size as configuration-dependent (gas type/pressure), so drilling risks changing the calibrated flow.
If contamination is suspected, it’s usually safer to fit the correct replacement jet for the heater/gas/pressure setup.

What symptoms suggest a blocked or incorrect jet?

Heater won’t light reliably or flame is weak/unstable (often linked to restricted gas flow).
Heater produces poor combustion signs (sooting/smell) or behaves oddly across settings (often linked to wrong jet/pressure).

Can I use a PU2… jet from one Gasolec model on another (or swap between propane and natural gas)?

Generally no, the jet depends on gas type and pressure, so swapping jets between models or fuels risks incorrect combustion.

How do I choose the correct PU2… jet for my heater?

Choose the jet by heater model, gas type and pressure range (all three matter). Gasolec explicitly indicates jets depend on gas type and pressure, so you shouldn’t “guess by diameter” alone.

What is a Gasolec jet and what does it do?

A Gasolec jet is a precision-drilled nozzle, that varies with gas type and supply pressure, that controls how much gas enters the burner.

Gasolec

When Mr Heinz Kremer started a company in december of 1956, he had no idea that his company would evolve into Gasolec B.V. a Dutch company that produces gas heaters for the poultry and pig market all over the world. Being one of the oldest producers in the market, Gasolec has almost 70 years of experience in designing and developing heaters through its own Research and Development department. The products comply with the highest standards in the market. Through a continuous search for improvements Gasolec is able to fulfil the needs of its customers.

Gasolec has a few simple guiding principles towards its customers:
