Which batteries does the Super Hawk use, and which one should I choose?

The Super Hawk can operate on either a 9V internal dry battery (located inside the case for easy portability) or a 12V external battery (providing longer operating times). It features High/Low power settings and pulse/low-battery LED indicators, allowing you to control the output and monitor battery status easily.

When to select each: the 9V is convenient for brief, mobile strip-grazing sessions; the 12V is preferable when you need more power under load and longer intervals between recharges. This is generally considered best practice for battery energisers.

What length of fence can it energise, and what is its ideal use?

The Super Hawk is designed to power up to approximately 1.5km of single-line fencing under optimal conditions and is ideal as an energiser suitable for strip grazing, noted for its light weight and portability.

What grounding (earthing) do I need for a Hotline Super Hawk Energiser, and what comes in the box?

Earthing: Make sure to use at least one earth stake that's 1 m long and firmly driven into the ground; bad earthing is usually why fence voltage is low.

Included/Features: The Super Hawk includes fence and earth leads, battery leads, On/Off and High/Low switches, a pulse/low-battery LED, and a sturdy 4-prong stand. When you register, Hotline offers a 5-year warranty.
