Gasolec S2 Gas Brooder with stainless steel filter. The metal air filter is easy to use and maintain, despite the fact that the brooder does not have a thermostat, the addition of an adjustable heat regulator (50-150) allows it to be operated at levels of between 1,500 and 3,500 btu (0.4/1.0 kw). The Gasolec S2 is capable of warming 100 - 200 pheasant or hen chicks, depending on how well insulated the shed is. A simple hook on the top of the brooder allows it to be easily hung by a chain from above.
Gasolec started in the heating business with the production of the S-type, with its characteristic cast iron burner chamber and a ceramic burner plate. A successful heater still considered as a good, relatively inexpensive and reliable brooder for use on Game Farms. Around 3 million S-heaters have been produced so far and production continues!

Coverage depends heavily on housing style, insulation, ventilation, floor type, and ambient temperature, so any figures are approximate.
Typical guidance for SA models for day‑olds covered ranges, e.g.:
