Gallagher's Vidoflex 9 is a premium braided polywire designed for extended electric fences or for dividing, splitting, or shaping plots. This blue wire is particularly effective for deterring wildlife, as animals can perceive the colour blue more clearly than others, helping them recognise and avoid the game-repellent fence more quickly.
Vidoflex 9 features a very low resistance of 0.06 Ω/m, making it 80% more conductive than typical plastic electric fence wires. This high conductivity comes from three tinned copper wires, each 0.25mm thick, located at the wire's core. This ensures sufficient power is maintained even over long distances, supporting fences longer than 500metres. Additionally, six stainless steel wires of 0.15mm are evenly braided through the 3mm thick wire.
The braided design helps the wire withstand regular rolling and unrolling, external damage, and weather conditions more effectively. It also stretches less compared to twisted wires.
If the wire is damaged, with the help of the innovative core design, the copper core wires maintain conductivity, ensuring the safety of your animals. These copper wires are wrapped around the core and stretch when tensioned, reducing the likelihood of breakage from frequent use and preventing a drop in Vidoflex 9’s conductivity.
The UV-stabilised plastic coating protects the wire from all weather conditions, keeping it flexible for years without becoming brittle. Vidoflex 9 comes with a 5-year UV warranty.
