Use a Female UK POL × W20 adaptor when you need to mix-and-match equipment that doesn’t share the same thread type, for example:

Connecting UK propane-cylinder gear (POL) to “Euro” regulators/changeover valves (W20)
Making a changeover kit compatible with your cylinder/pigtail setup, Dalton’s changeover kits are often supplied with a Female UK POL × W20 brass adaptor for exactly this reason
When your pigtail hose/regulator inlet is W20 but your cylinder-side components are POL (or vice versa), this adaptor “translates” the connection

UK POL (propane bottle fitting):UK POL is the classic UK propane cylinder connector (e.g., Calor/Flogas). It uses a left‑hand thread, so you typically tighten counter‑clockwise.

W20 (also called M20 × 1.5): W20 is the common name (especially in the leisure/caravan market) for the M20 × 1.5 parallel right‑hand thread used on many “Euro” bulkhead regulators and automatic changeover valves.
