Do you also want to weigh your animals?
Weighing Only
For farms where animals do not have electronic ear tags. A weighing only setup lets you track individual and group weights, measure daily liveweight gain and make more confident decisions at the crush without needing to manage electronic tag data. You need two components: a weigh indicator and a set of loadbars.
- Simple to operate
- Farm proof build
- Works with the free Gallagher Animal Performance app
- Compatible with iOS and Android
Loadbars sit under your weighing platform or crush and send weight data to the indicator. Match the bar length to your platform width and choose a capacity above your heaviest animal.
If you want to add weight capture in the future, Gallagher wireless loadbars can be retrofitted without rewiring your yard. They work alongside both EID readers and connect to a compatible scale indicator.
Prefer everything in one box?
Gallagher Quick Weigh Kits bundle a W0 scale and loadbars together, ready to install straight away.
EID Only
For farms where animals have electronic ear tags and you need to collect, record and analyse individual animal data. A handheld EID smartreader scans each animal's tag as you work through them. Data syncs to your smartphone via Bluetooth and stores in the Gallagher Animal Performance app.

- Simple scrolling menu
- Large backlit colour screen
- Ergonomic long reach design
- LED and vibration tag confirmation
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Weighing and EID Combined
For farms that want weight automatically matched to the individual animal's tag number. A combined setup captures weight and EID at the crush in a single pass. The indicator links each weight reading to the tag scanned by the smartreader, building a complete performance record per animal.
- EID compatible, connects to HR4 and HR5 via Bluetooth
- Automatically matches weight to tag number
- Wi-Fi and cloud connected

Wireless loadbars eliminate cable runs across the yard, reducing damage risk and making installation quicker. Choose the size that fits your platform.
