Fibreglass Fan Cowl XL - Windhood 910W x 1220H Internal FAQs

What are the fan cowls made out of?

Our fan cowls are hand made with multiple layers of glassfibre and are finished in black.

How do I mount the fan cowl?

The fiberglass fan cowls have a 50mm lip around the front edge, this lip sits flat to the building wall. It can be easily drilled and mounted with tec screws or wood screws.

Why use a fan cowl?

Fan cowls are used as a baffle to stop wind blowing directly into the building through the fan opening. They also stop light directly entering the building.

Will a light trap reduce air flow?

Yes, a light trap can reduce fan efficiency by up to 15%. Careful calculation should be made to ensure the correct number of fans are available to account for this.
