Horka 200 Chick paper - When the chickens walk on the Chickpaper, the paper makes a rustling noise which attracts the chickens. Because the paper is placed under the drinking lines and feed is put on top of the Chickpaper, both water and feed are easily accessible for the day-old chicks. Because our Chickpaper is 100% bio-degradable, it doesn't need to be removed from the houses.

What is Chickpaper?
Chickpaper is a 100% biodegradable acid free paper that promotes the feed and water intake in day-old chicks.
By using Chickpaper the behaviour of the chicks can be influenced so that they quickly gain access to food
and water.
As a result, they start up more easily resulting in healthy and well-performing broilers. This is reflected
in lower mortalities, improved overall health, better uniformity and optimal weight gain.

By putting feed on the paper, not only the water is found but the chicks also have easy access to the feed.
Why does chick paper attract day old chicks?
Chick paper has high rustling properties. As soon as the day old chicks walk on the paper they are attracted by its sound. This makes sure that all the day old chicks are guided to the water and start drinking within 4 hours after arrival.

Do I need to remove the chick paper after the first few days?
Kanters Horka chick paper is highly absorbent and bio-degradable. After 2-3 days it starts to disintegrate into the bedding. There is no need to remove it manually.
