BEC Wise Cage Feeder – 5Kg Poultry Feeder
The BEC Wise Cage Feeder is a groundbreaking product for those interested in poultry and game care, aiming to improve feeding methods while reducing the risk of disease and contamination from outdoor animals. It can also be adapted to allow effortless access to the feed lid from the outside of the cage or enclosure, making refilling possible without disturbing the birds inside.
Fully adjustable feed flow control
Anti-Scratch features – Rolled lip on feeding trough and two vertical fins greatly reduces your birds scratching out feed, saving up to 40% on feed costs
Prevents vermin accessing your expensive feed
Includes a rain shield to protect the feed and a fine dust drain in the base
The Wise Cage Feeder is designed to fit on a cage wall or on fencing (vertical or angled). The feeder can also be fitted to allow easy access to the feeder lid from outside the cage/enclosure, so feed can be refilled without disturbing caged birds
The Wise Feeder is a modular design allowing the cage version to be fitted with one additional 5Kg extension silos to increase the feed capacity to 10Kg (make sure your cage or fence is rigid/strong enough to support the additional weight)
The feeder will take most types of feed and is incredibly easy to maintain and clean (as with any gravity feeder, it does not work with Layers Mash, best with a free-flowing feed like Pellets or Corn)

Game rearing bird & poultry supplies from the Broiler Equipment Company (BEC)
BEC was founded in the UK over 50 years ago and is credited with developing the first round plastic automatic drinker for the poultry and game bird rearing industries. BEC products have now been in use for over forty years and have developed an enviable reputation for reliability all over the world.
Osprey Limited, a successful plastic injection moulding company based in the UK, purchased BEC in January 2004.
Investment in the BEC product line continues with the recent introduction of new bird feeders and the retooling of some existing products. This includes poultry drinkers to increase the number of game rearing products manufactured in-house. The product range now includes drinkers ranging from 1 ltr hand filled to large ballasted auto poultry drinkers suitable for turkeys, and bird feeders ranging from 1 kg to 50 kg capacities.
BEC has benefited greatly from Osprey’s expertise in plastic moulding having achieved ISO 9001:2015 accreditation in all aspects of its operations. All game and poultry rearing equipment production is carried out to audited procedures, ensuring reliable, quality products.
The BEC feeders and drinkers are just one part of a wide range of product lines manufactured and supplied by Osprey. Others include household products such as vacuum cleaners, as well as equipment for deep-sea fishing and fish farming. With the emphasis on manufacturing in-house, many of these game rearing products are designed and produced in Osprey’s own factories here in the UK.
