The Solar Powered Foxlight deters wolves, foxes, and other nocturnal predators by simulating the presence of a person guarding your herd. This lamp is powered by solar energy and activates automatically at dusk. It features nine tri-colour LEDs that flash in a random pattern and are visible from all directions. The light can be conveniently mounted on a pole or suspended from a wire. When necessary, the battery can be recharged through a USB connection.

What is the Gallagher Fox Light and how does it work?
The Gallagher Fox Light is a device made to keep predators away from livestock and poultry at night, especially foxes. It features nine LED lights in red, blue, and white that flash randomly to simulate human activity, making it seem like someone is watching the area. Because the flashing pattern is unpredictable, predators don’t get used to it. The light turns on automatically at dusk and switches off at dawn thanks to a light sensor.
Is the Gallagher Fox light solar-powered or battery-operated?
There are two versions but the one we supply is the Solar-powered model which charges during the day and runs at night; includes a USB port for backup charging. It is weather-resistant and designed for outdoor use.
What is the proper way to install and place a Gallagher Fox light to achieve optimal results?
Attach to a steel post, wire fence, or tree limb
Arrange the flash to shine horizontally to achieve the best visibility
Set up units 100–150m apart surrounding sleeping zones or enclosures
Make sure the solar panel receives direct sunlight for optimal charging
How effective is the Gallagher Fox Light against predators?
This method works very well to keep foxes and other night-time predators away, particularly when combined with other strategies such as fencing or using guardian animals. Nevertheless, it is not completely reliable—determined predators might get used to it over time, so it is advisable to use multiple deterrent methods together.
