The Cyclone is a valuable addition to any bio-security plan

  • Efficient
  • Affordable
  • Compact

The Cyclone connects to the silo exhaust via a steel pipe and collects the dust that would normally escape during pneumatic filling, it’s a simple solution to a common bio-security problem. By keeping dust contained, the Cyclone reduces the risk of diseased birds and vermin being attracted to your site.

  • Easy to empty - Because the Cyclone is positioned at height, it’s straightforward to empty. Just wheel a barrow underneath, open the integrated slide unit, and release any collected dust for later use
  • Space-saving design - the Cyclone stays “out of the way” by mounting on the silo leg
  • Plus, it utilises the silo's pressure relief valve instead of requiring it's own

Cyclone Dust Collection Unit For Poultry Sheds & Livestock - 2020 Model - Collinson FAQs

What are Cyclone dust collectors?

Cyclone dust collectors stop dust from blown feed being exhausted into the outside air.

Where are cyclone dust collectors used?

Cyclone dust collectors are fixed to one leg of a Collinson silo and the exhaust pipe from the silo is attached to the top of it.

How do cyclone dust collectors work?

Cyclone dust collectors work on a cyclonic principal where by the air forced into them from the silo exhaust pipe is forced around the internal body of the unit, the heavier dust particles naturally drop to the collection bin at the bottom.

How do I empty the Cyclone dust collector?

The Cylone dust collector is mounted high enough up the silo leg to allow a wheelbarrow to be placed under it. Once it's in place you simply open the slide to release the collected dust.

Do Cyclone dust collectors improve on farm bio-security?

Cyclone dust collectors improve on farm bio-security by the fact that the dust in the feed is collected and disposed of in a safe way. Without a Cyclone dust collector the dust is forced out of the exhaust pipe onto the ground. This can attract rodents and wild birds as well as get wet and become unsanitary by producing unwanted mould growth.
